Heartsaver FA CPR AED (HS FA CPR AED) is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest.

But what is HeartCode HS TOTAL FA CPR AED?

Simply put, it is just another way to to complete a Heartsaver CPR AED (HS CPR AED) course.

HeartCode HS consists of two components:

  • eLearning, in which the student completes an online course in a self-directed manner at their own pace in the comfort of their home or any other place of their choosing. The online component of the Heartsaver Total - First Aid CPR AED Online course provides quality training in lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR and how to use an AED. The Heartsaver Total is a comprehensive course designed for those requiring first aid and CPR training to meet OSHA or other regulatory agency requirements. After successful completion of all steps, students will receive a HS course completion certificate to take with them to the hands-on portion of the class.
  • an Instructor-led hands-on skills practice and skills testing session (1-2 hours)

Students need to pass both components in order to receive an AHA HS completion card. The completion card is valid for 2 years.

This course is the hands-on practice and skills testing session only!!!

PRIOR to attending the HC HS Hands-On Course, you will need to:

  • Purchase and complete the "Heartsaver Total - First Aid CPR AED Online" eLearning (online) course on the American Heart Association's Atlas website (https://ShopCPR.heart.org) (Product #25-1440)
  • Bring your completed HeartCode Heartsaver Certificate with you to the class.
